What Is This Site?

Phong Nha Journeys is an independent editorial resource dedicated to helping travellers understand, plan, and book cave adventures in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Vietnam. We do not operate tours, sell bookings directly, or represent any tour operator. Our role is to provide accurate, unbiased information so that you can make a confident decision and book with the right operator for your needs.

We exist because Phong Nha is one of the most extraordinary natural places on Earth — and it can also be one of the most confusing to navigate. Quota systems, fitness requirements, seasonal closures, and the sheer variety of available experiences mean that a traveller without reliable information can easily book the wrong tour, go at the wrong time, or simply miss out on something remarkable. We aim to fix that.

Our Editorial Principles

We are not affiliated with Oxalis Adventure or any other tour operator. Our guides are written based on published research, traveller accounts, operator documentation, and publicly available information from the national park authority. We do not accept payment from operators in exchange for editorial coverage, and operators cannot pay to be featured, ranked, or described in positive terms on this site.

Accuracy Over Speed

Cave conditions, tour availability, pricing, and regulations change. We update our guides regularly to reflect the latest information, and we note the dates when key facts were last verified. Where information is time-sensitive (particularly prices and booking availability), we link to primary sources rather than quoting figures that may be outdated by the time you read them.

Transparency About Affiliate Relationships
